I’ve read online from several film blogs about how bad this movie was. I like to judge for myself and I didn’t expect much because Megan Fox is pretty one dimensional in the Transformers movie, being nothing more than a piece of ass.
I did have a good feeling about Diablo Cody writing the film. I like Juno quite a bit and her hipster dialog actually gives me a laugh rather than annoys me. Plus I had heard she was a big horror movie fan, so the idea of her making one actually appealed to me.
In the end I ended up liking Jennifer’s Body quite a bit. I think Megan Fox and Amanda Seyfried play off each other quite well. Megan Fox I thought gave a really good performance and made a great evil character and played up her sexuality well without it being over the top. The effects were solid and the gore was a laugh in a good way.
I really liked Jennifer’s Body. Its a good entertaining Friday night horror film. Not the best of the year by any means but I’d watch it again if it was on cable.
