DOA: Dead or Alive is the perfect blend of hot chicks and action. It doesn’t pretend to be anything more, doesn’t take itself too seriously and is basically the videogame placed in the Game of Death world. First up there’s the every cute Devon Aoki, the got Holly Valance, smokin’ Jaime Pressley and the hottest of them all Sarah Carter. You even get a guest appearance by Kevin Nash as Pressley’s dad, a wrestler. Big stretch!
What elevates this film is that it’s filmed in the same spot as Hero. They use wire work and the chicks have all actually studied martial arts of some sort for many years on their own so when they trained for this they ended up being pretty exciting. And the film has nonstop action pretty much and when they do it, they blend it with plenty of jiggly shots knowing good andwell thats always been the appeal of DOA. Hell, they even shout out the beach vollyball game with a big beach vollyball scene with the girls in bikini’s.
Oh yea, Eric Roberts is in it too as the guy running the tournament.
So yeah, I was told by Micah and Brian K that this would be good and they were right. It’s a blast of B-movie action!
