I haven’t seen Ip Man, but it’s my understanding it’s all practical kung-fu but this one is full of wire work. Still, Donnie Yen and Sammo Hung are pretty spectacular. I enjoyed the movie, but it borders on goofy at times. That being said, a lot of kung-fu movies can do that. It’s a fun watch, but considering the hype behind Ip Man, I felt a little let down by this sequel. Now to see what the big deal is with the original.
