I wanted to see this, not because I know anything about the unsolved murder case in NY, but because I think Ryan Gosling is a hell of an actor. Kirsten Dunst actually generally falls into roles that I like, as well and while this role is no stretch for her usual girl next door persona she does an admiral job.
All Good Things is a slow burn, never showing it’s full hand, likely because it’s based on speculation, records and third person accounts. Films like that can tend to feel drawn out and tedious but this is bolstered by Gosling’s subdued, but yet tension filled performance of a man on the verge of cracking.
Not a fantastic movie and honestly not even one I think will have a lot of feet in the long run, but an entertaining view for the length of it’s runtime.
