An early British Amicus horror anthology that is way ahead of it’s time and really well done. A man, seemingly trapped in a circular nightmare that he can’t escape, ends up in a house where several people tell their own horrific stories of dealing with the supernatural and horrific. It’s natural to find this to be a bunch of Twilight Zone episodes wrapped into another episode and that’s because TZ adapted one of the stories, twice, for it’s show.
Wrapped in a fantastic story, Dead of Night delivers in each sub-story as well. Exceptionally creepy at every turn and features an especially spine tingling story with a mannequin, something I think will never stop being freaky.
If you’re a fan of horror films, this is essential viewing.
