After escaping with Newt and Hicks from the alien planet, Ripley crash lands on Fiorina 161, a prison planet and host to a correctional facility. Unfortunately, although Newt and Hicks do not survive the crash, a more unwelcome visitor does. The prison does not allow weapons of any kind, and with aid being a long time away, the prisoners must simply survive in any way they can.

My youngest son had been bugging me to watch this for a while, so I finally picked it up from the library (since I don’t own 3 or Resurrection on Blu-Ray, by choice).
There are things I like about this film, but not many. For instance, I do rather like Ripley’s transformation from the old, sexy version to the clean shaven, masculine version. It’s a very obvious transformative bit that seems to make sense given the arc of the three films.
And that’s about it. My sons liked it, but my youngest echoed my thoughts in saying that this was his least favorite of the three.
