A really solid noir with the always great Sterling Hayden as a tough as nails policeman. A young Charles Bronson plays one of the three escaped convicts. The gorgeous Phyllis Kirk doesn’t have too much to do here, but she’s great to look at. I suspect she’s also a fine actress. I’ll have to try to track down more of her work.
The bank shootout is an amazing scene, as is one of the final fight scenes. Absolute chaos and highly charged!
