Another excellent screening by Northwest Chicago Film Society at Portage Theater. Really all kinds of excellent. Stack, Ryan and Mitchell are terrific. Even Shirley Yamaguchi is great. Additionally the sets and Fuller’s camera work prove outstanding again. Film proceeded by a horrible 1944 propaganda short film “My Japan” that is not easy to watch. Just hate the tactic used to depict the Japanese and their country regardless of the climate at that time.
