I’m not going to say Nightbreed is a fantastic film, because it’s not. It’s been so chopped up by the studio that it barely makes sense and rushes from scene to scene like a kid without his ADHD meds. However, it has a special place in my heart and I love so many scenes in it, from the opening one of the monsters running through the cememtary, the scene of the guy cutting his face off, the murders by Cronenberg in that mask that makes me shiver to this day…
I’d love to see all the missing scenes that were cut out. Maybe someday we’ll get lucky and get a full on director’s cut more like what Barker intended.
